3 Key points for building trust in your website

Ricardo Sierra Ricardo Sierra 25 November, 2020

Confidence, that same confidence that you want to have when you buy a product online but in the end you receive something different from what you expected.

That trust is what every business wants to convey on its website to get customers.

The first thing you have to know is that trust is the key for opening businesses.

You can have everything, but if the customer doesn’t trust you … you can never sell them.

And if all businesses need that key 🔑, digital businesses need it much more, since the internet is a medium that has suffered a lot from mistrust.

Card clones, information hacks, products that never arrive, or worse, that arrive but are nowhere near what you expected.

The Internet has suffered a lot and therefore you will have to try even harder.

In addition, you will have to do something outstanding, because confidence in the real world can be gained by seeing the product physically.

It is not so difficult to trust the sneakers that you are about to buy in a physical sneakers store, there you can touch them, try them on, walk with them, look at the quality of the seams, etc.

But, when the sale is online, this reason grows even more to focus on radiating confidence since nobody can see your product until they buy it.

So if you want to build trust in your customers, follow these 3 points that are the most important for your site to look trustworthy.

Design

A good design is one of the things that will contribute the most to confidence

If your site looks incredibly good, people automatically think you’re not a scam.

Although of course, that’s wrong, you could still scam from a WELL DONE site

But it is not at all common, because to have a well designed site you have to invest time and money and usually …

The customer correlates the quality of the site with that of the product.

Nobody says “their site is horrible but they sure have a great product.”

Content

All the content of the site has to be original, that is, for example, all the photos that are there have to be taken by you.

And your photos have to be well taken, with a professional camera or a smartphone with a good camera.

There is nothing worse than entering a site and seeing pixelated or low-quality photos.

And of course, zero stock photos … yes, those classic photos that you steal from the internet of a pretty girl answering the phone and you put it in the “customer service” section of your site.

And with content not only in the part of the photos, also the videos and the texts.

You also cannot have spelling mistakes in the copy.

If the customer sees one, he will instantly realize that you have not quality or seriousness and he wil think that you are a teenager at home trying to do business online.

You must have exaggerated perfection in the contents.

Technology

Something that is very neglected is the technology behind the site.

The first thing you have to have is an ssl security certificate.

This is so that your page doesn’t say “🔓 not secure” in the navigation bar.

How do you think you are going to sell something when your page is trying to tell your customer that it is not a good idea?

Besides ssl, the page has to have the most advanced technology on it.

If a client enters your page and has to install Adobe Player to watch a video, or if a pop-up opens, or even worse… an automatic MSN Messenger chat, they will realize that you do not maintain the technology Since 1990.

Also, of course better technology would give you more speed, which is another factor to increase confidence.

The online payment methods, processes and tools on your site have to radiate good technology for people to trust.

Those are the 3 vital points to build trust in your website, check them thousands and thousands of times
