Brands that target Latinos using Influencer Marketing

It’s no secret that Latinos in the U.S. have a large buying power that continues to grow. Brands have partnered with social media influencers to create brand awareness for their products or services.

Summer 2019, Hot Cheetos collaborated with Forever 21 to create a clothing line that revolved around cheetos merchandise. This is a brand collaboration campaign but it also included an influencer marketing campaign. Jennifer Ruiz, who is most commonly known as her social media handles, @Jen_ny69, was one of the Latino influencers on this campaign. She has 1.9 million followers on Instagram and 1.04 million subscribers on YouTube. 

Morphe Cosmetics

Morphe Cosmetics is banking on those influencer marketing campaigns. They continuously release collaborations for products, paid social media advertising, and even give a special code for influencers to share with their followers. They have Youtube stars like Jenny_69 and Louie Castro using their products in the video below. Jenny and Castro have a combined 3.58 Million following on YouTube. In April 2020, Louie Castro also released a collaborated Morphe makeup palette. 

Smaller brands are also utilizing influencer marketing to grow their brand awareness. Small businesses also collaborate with influencers to generate a following for their business. 

Herencia Clothing

Herencia Clothing is an e-commerce company that started in the Summer of 2015. In efforts of targeting the Mexican-American population in the U.S. they use popular Mexican influencers to brand themselves. Herencia Clothing has a following of 350K on Instagram. Their influencer marketing strategy revolves around micro-influencers modeling for their clothes and generating posts for them on their personal social media profiles. Yoatzi Castro is one of the bigger influencers on their campaign. She has 626K subscribers on YouTube and 606K followers on Instagram.
