This year, we came down to Austin for the 2024 SXSW Festival. Yes sir! We had an amazing experience. It was a really cool festival filled with great content, speakers and brand activations.
One of the most impactful topics for me was AI. And by the way, this blog has been written 100% by me. All rights reserved =).
In this blog, I’m going to share my experience and journey as a user; but also a marketing specialist.
Think about millennials. We have been listening to AI hacks since we watched movies like “The Terminator”. Not to say that some business leaders like Elon Musk have shared a concern on how we should handle this new technology.
And yes, it is true. It can be a hard topic to understand and a very complex one.
At the same time, we’re going to take a deeper look at this technology and its possibilities.
First and foremost, let’s take the time to understand how we create new technologies as humans and how the process works in order to update and take that technology to its best version.
All the technologies that we have developed take years and even decades for us to launch them and scale them across the globe.
Artificial Intelligence is a unique technology that, besides from others, has been introduced to us decades ago. Interestingly enough, most smartphone users have been able to see in the last few years how it really works and how we can use it in so many ways.
For me as an entrepreneur and marketing specialist; AI is just an amazing resource that we now have in order to create projects and solve problems in a more efficient way.
AI is the holy grail of all technologies.
If we think about all the data that is available online and that we can’t process it… just for being humans – then take a second and visualize a system that can help us in many ways in order to get the information that we need in order to make decisions in a precise way. All of that… in seconds, not days of hard work.
One of the keynote sessions that opened my eyes in many ways was related to AI and the future of the workspace – 2050.
Ian Beacraft shared with us how this technology is the most amazing resource we have ever seen in the history of humankind. Throughout the years, we have experienced new cell phones, computers, cars, aircrafts and even weapons. All of these tools / products have been developed and tested over and over again. And one thing that all of them have in common is that their technologies have been revolutionary and challenging for us to adapt our minds into them and just experience those products.
It’s important for us to understand that the human mind is linear, not exponential. That’s one of the reasons why it takes time for us to try something new and suddenly use it as a common thing. That’s how we started using our first social media channel and suddenly… We have accounts across multiple platforms. Same case here!
The future of the workspace is exciting. Humans will take a new role in our teams. Especially in agencies and consulting firms. Instead of doing all the hard work by ourselves, we will now partner with AI platforms in order to design, develop and execute successful projects. We will now delegate the work into a system, so that we can all work smarter and focus on getting things done with a super powerful resource, fueled by AI.
Large teams will now become obsolete. Think about it. Those will not longer be needed anymore. Why hire 200 developers when you can hire 10 and scale a platform or replicate a process with AI?
Most of the industries are already discovering, working and implementing AI.
And this is a great opportunity for all of us. Let’s get to discover more cool things about it and start implementing it into our companies. It is no longer the future, but the present.
