Today we want to talk to you about the success story of a Queretan company that expanded its operations to the United States. It is the case of Grupo Chufani, founded by the successful entrepreneur Sergio Chufani Abarca.
26 years ago he founded Grupo Chufani, which employed five people and currently has a workforce that exceeds 300 in the administrative field, and additionally, there are 3,500 who are contractors and masons, in addition to its annual turnover reaching 200 million dollars.
The interesting fact about this company is the great international success it has had, 90% of its clients are foreigners and it has mainly built industrial, service and commercial warehouses and buildings for them.
One of the reasons why large companies look to this construction company is due to the added value, high quality and professionalism that they deliver in their projects. The company seeks to adapt the construction according to the needs of its clients, they travel to Europe or other countries to visit its plants and observe their specifications, construction techniques, etc.; to later tropicalize the plants that are going to be built and deliver world-class work to them.
Grupo Chufani had important client projects that catapulted it to success. Such is the case of Kellogg’s in Querétaro for whom they redesigned and built a distribution center in record time. As well as for Ferrero chocolates to whom they built a plant with complicated production processes. They are currently building the BMW auto body plant in San Luis Potosí, which is a building that requires highly stylized engineering and first-rate software.
Creating loyalty towards your brand is essential in marketing and Grupo Chufani has known how to communicate this very well with its added value and its customer service. 70% of the work they have is from clients who repeat projects, and the other 30% are recommendations from these clients.
This week the company announced its expansion to the United States with a project for Grupo Envases, a Mexican world leader in the production of Aluminum, Pet and Steel containers for the construction of its first aluminum can production center in Waco, Texas🤠
Once completed, the facility, located in Texas Central Park, will have more than 42,000 square meters of production and distribution space, generating 120 quality full-time jobs, more than 300 indirect jobs (maintenance activities, supplies, distribution of the products, etc.), for a total investment of 100 million dollars in its first phase👏
“We have already entered the large market, after 30 years of efforts, constant work and commitment from each of our collaborators” Sergio Chufani Abarca.
